Merrymaking at Christmas

For a number of people, the holiday season represents more than presents, Christmas carols and family reunions. There is also an element of social responsibility, often expressed through Christmas charity programs.

In this time of year, companies’ personnel are called to join hands in support of a good cause. This would enhance the team spirit among them, offer a chance to escape the daily routine, and allow them to experience the genuine giving feeling.

Below are few suggestions for Charity events to organize on Christmas!

• Spending time at an orphanage and offering kids gifts they need.


• Organize a food & clothes drive and share the food and clothes with the homeless.


• Visit an elderly house and prepare Christmas dinner for the elders.


• Visit a prison and offer gifts to prisoners.


• Make a wish! Make this holiday season special by helping a child’s dream come true. Choose a child with life –threatening medical conditions and make his wish come true.

In order to be able to complete the tasks, you should raise money thus avoiding embarrassing employees by asking them to donate specific amounts of money.

Below are some suggestions for fundraising in support of charity events:

Bake Sales:

Bake sales have long been a staple of many groups fundraising. You can bake and donate cakes, cookies, buns, muffins, pies and biscuits. These are then sold to raise funds and support a poor family on Christmas.

Christmas greenery Sales:

If you have access to the raw materials selling Christmas greenery can be a great Christmas Fundraiser. If you can find a friendly landowner or farmer however you may be able to find all sorts of bits and pieces that can be sold for Christmas decorations.

Candle Sales:

Different candle companies offer really lovely ranges of candles and related products. You can set a desk and display these candles to be bought by employees, customers and others. Write a sign or prepare a brochure stating the purpose of your sales, and offer thank you notes to those that support your cause.
