A Contracting Services Company in Beirut is hiring a Tendering Engineer.
Job Description:
Cost Estimation:
- Estimate Bill of Quantity, proposals, and Scope of work of the projects in Tendering.
- Execute projects estimation, tendering and cost analysis.
- Tender preparation and final tender submissions within specified deadlines
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate
- Follow up with contractors/clients on cost estimates
- Estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and overheads accounted in tender
- To insure completeness and agree on overhead and profit
- Get material prices and transportation estimates from foreign and local suppliers directly or through the commercial department
- Follow up presented quotations and report to senior estimation officer.
- Communication with site engineer for follow up of awarded contract.
- Communicate with foreign and local suppliers to gather technical information and laboratory tests relative to tender material items
Project Submittals:
- Communicate with Clients and site for to submittal Issues
- Prepare appropriate product data and project document submittals which would be acceptable for Clients and Consultants
- Coordinate with commercial department in relation to product data and samples
- Coordinate with foreign and local suppliers to get tests, certificates, and product data
- Analyze the observations / replies of the consultants and clients, respond and coordinate with their needs
- Suggest and implement corrective actions
Execution and Shop Drawings:
- Prepare appropriate drawing submittals which would be acceptable for Clients and Consultants
- Drawings and specification analysis in order to get clear coordinated interpretation of the design/drawings.
- Request for Information from Clients and Consultants
- Attend project coordination meetings as required
- Analyze the observations / replies of the consultants and clients, respond and coordinate with their needs
- Suggest and implement corrective actions
Other:
- Write Execution Method statements
- Make data literature related to our products if necessary
- Make full review and control the drawings, submittals, and offers prepared by other individuals in the department
- Give technical assistance to site individuals
- Maintain and update the Shop Drawing and submittals Log
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Experience: 5 years of experience minimum
Field of experience: Finishing and waterproofing
Personality: Strong negotiation skills
Computer skills: AutoCAD, MS Excel
Languages: French, English, Arabic
Age: between 28 and 40 years old
Schedule:
Monday to Saturday
8:00 AM till 5:00 PM
