Job Description

A prestigious Lebanese Fine Dining Restaurant in Riyadh, KSA is looking for a Lebanese Sous-Chef to join their team.

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lebanese Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of Lebanese cuisine, creativity, and leadership skills to contribute to the continued success of our restaurant. The Lebanese Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes that meet our standards of excellence.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and innovate new Lebanese dishes while ensuring alignment with the restaurant’s concept and quality standards.
  • Food Preparation: Oversee the day-to-day food preparation activities, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection and in accordance with established recipes.
  • Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish served, monitoring presentation, taste, and portion sizes.
  • Training and Supervision: Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain a high level of proficiency in Lebanese culinary techniques, ensuring a cohesive and efficient kitchen team.
  • Ordering and Inventory Management: Responsible for managing ingredient sourcing, ordering, and inventory control to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, implementing proper food handling and sanitation practices in the kitchen.
  • Collaboration with Culinary Team: Work closely with the Head Chef and other team members to foster a collaborative and positive kitchen environment.
  • Customer Interaction: Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to address customer feedback and special requests, ensuring a seamless dining experience.

 

Requirements

 

  • Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as a Sous Chef with a focus on Lebanese cuisine in a fine dining setting.
  • Creativity: Strong creative abilities to contribute to menu development and introduce innovative twists to traditional Lebanese dishes.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills to effectively manage and inspire kitchen staff.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the culinary team, front-of-house staff, and management.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Culinary Qualifications: Formal culinary education and relevant certifications will be an advantage.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Arabic is required, French is a plus.
