Our client an ISP company located in Kinshasa, DRC is looking for a Public Works Controller:
Duties:
• Plan, schedule, prioritize and manage the daily operation of public works areas,
• Plan, organize and direct all aspects of operations,
• Develop, review and revise long-range plans to improve public works operations,
• Develop project plans and preventative maintenance schedules,
• Review and approve various purchase orders for small materials for all sectors of public works,
• Determine work priorities and allocate appropriate resources,
• Use, maintain, repair and replace the tools made available,
• Manage, organize and resolve unforeseen factors and conditions such as personnel problems, equipment breakdowns and weather conditions,
• Prepare performance sheets for temporary employees, purchase orders and auxiliary requisitions,
• Prepare and supervise the work schedules of the employees made available,
• Plan, monitor, discipline and evaluate employees according to established procedures,
• Ensure that the work is completed in accordance with the schedule and quality standards of the service,
• Recommend and implement policies, rules and procedures,
• Ensure the safety of employees working on site.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in technical fields or equivalent
• Formal training or certification in the use of equipment related to the field of public works,
• Basic computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheets and internet use,
• Basic knowledge of the principles of fiber optics,
• Knowledge of equipment, tools and approaches used in fiber optic operations and deployment procedures
A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in a supervisory role related to the field of public works is required for this position.
Schedule:
Monday to Saturday from 8AM to 5PM and on Saturdays from 8AM to 1PM
Salary:
Fresh USD 1000-1500 + Local Medical Insurance + One Plane Ticket + Housing Allowance + Car
