Job Description

A global Business Consultancy company is looking for an Business Development Manager in Dubai:


Drive the development of strategic proposals, setting the standards for proposal delivery for the firm and play a leading role in driving adjacent business development efforts

Position Summary

  • Drive proposals development to ensure the delivery of high impact, brand-defining proposals
  • Work closely with, and build trust and reputation with, the entire leadership team across practices
  • Drive adjacent business development efforts including sales collaterals, and business analysis documents across platforms and geographies
  • Manage and coach a growing pool of AH associates and senior associates (in addition to client staff team on rotation) effectively building on their strengths, supporting them in their development and training them on proposal delivery
  • Contribute to the knowledge management efforts, having worked on the most strategic topics across sectors


Primary Duties and responsibilities:

Proposal development

  • Play a leading role in proposal development to ensure the delivery of high impact, brand-defining proposals and presentations across all sectors / topics
  • Guide junior team members to effectively and quickly process and assimilate complex research and new information across various sectors and topics, and crack the case
  • Develop storylines of the proposal and consistently produce clear, persuasive and concisely written proposals
  • Develop key hypotheses and insights for the proposal, in coordination with the AH director and senior team, to position the AH proposals as a first step into the assignment findings

Business insights / development

  • Drive adjacent business development efforts such as sales collaterals and business assessment documents across sectors and geographies
  • Contribute to the knowledge efforts of the company, having worked on the most strategic topics across sectors


  • Adapt to different leadership styles and build a relationship of trust, working closely with seniors (partners and principals) across all practices
  • Manage growing pool of junior talent with the ability to extract the best out of all the team members and deliver on proposals in a short timeline
  • Work closely with the AH director to continuously update, challenge and advance the strategy, plan and offerings of the AH
  • Seek to develop new skills which are outside of own comfort zone

Work management and structuring

  • Drive with minimal supervision proposals and business development documents upon high quality standards
  • Provide guidance and support for more junior team members to help them effectively perform their tasks
  • Review and address all facets of deliverable quality (accuracy, content depth, clarity of message, tone, etc.)
  • Work closely with the senior engagement team and seek their input throughout the proposal development process
  • Maintain positive energy in the face of obstacles or when dealing with complexity

Continuous innovation in proposal delivery

  • Drive innovation in proposal delivery by leveraging multimedia and digital technologies and advancing new proposal delivery models such as videos, websites, dashboards, etc.
  • Work closely with VCS (visual communication solutions) and preferred vendors on identifying and advancing new visualization or proposal delivery models
  • Stay on the lookout for new innovation techniques that can be used in proposal delivery


Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

  • 7+ years of consulting experience (managerial Level)
  • Strong project and people management skills
  • Established analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intrapreneurship and proactivity, being on the lookout for improvement opportunities for the hub
  • Good understanding of RFP process and proposal development
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure




7,500 USD (105,000 AED), Yearly Bonus up to 20%
