Develop an Afternoon Routine

People emphasize on the need of how to maximize their mornings, actually, morning routine—whatever it may be—is fine. The need lies in an afternoon routine.

You start the day with full energy backed up by a protein-rich breakfast and a cup of strong black coffee. In the afternoon, energy dips, drained from the energy put in the morning and during the day and so, focus starts to fade. You have to come up with a routine that keeps you productive in the afternoon yet still acknowledge the natural workflow.

1- Move your body: Swap the daily workouts to the afternoon instead of the morning; it will help you feel more refreshed and energized. A simple walk around 3 p.m. will snap you out of your idle. Even if you can’t go outside, take a walk around the office anyway. If you move your body at the same time every day your brain will know you’re still getting stuff done.

2- Enter the “easy task” shift: Implement the easy task shift like housekeeping, organizing, repetitive tasks, and general correspondence while not forgetting to switch on your favourite tunes. Set a five minutes’ timer in the event that you need to finish a big project. If you get into a good workflow and defeat your afternoon slump in those five minutes, be sure to reward yourself and reinforce that behaviour.

And don’t forget to make a plan for tomorrow. Decide what to prioritize and what you need to get done in the morning when you’re awake and full of energy.
